RAF Cosford in Shropshire hosts a popular air display in the Midlands. The display usually consists of a good mixture of RAF, warbirds, display teams, and usually a foreign visitor.
It is also home to the Aerospace museum which is an extension to the main museum at Hendon. The museum includes research & development airframes, missile collections, and captured enemy aircraft such as the Argentine FMA IA 58 Pucara.
The RAF COSFORD AIR SHOW will be held on SUNDAY 13th JUNE 2010.
RAF Cosford Air Show is the Midlands premier air event. The world-famous Royal Air Force Aerobatics Team - The Red Arrows – can be seen at the Show along with aircraft from the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight .
Current combat aircraft from the RAF, along with international participants, are also being lined up. There will be non-stop entertainment on the ground with hundreds of exhibits, colorful stalls and trade stands, military demonstrations and road shows – plus food, craft fair, bands, children's entertainment and much more.
All of this makes the air show an attractive day out for all ages and interests from aviation enthusiasts to families seeking a fun day out. The RAF Museum's full facilities, including the new National Cold War Exhibition, will be open which further enhances the breadth of entertainment and interest provided by the Air Show. Cosford is served by a regular train service to a station alongside the RAF base and combined rail and admission tickets can be purchased from Arriva Trains Wales. There is also ample free car parking available on the airfield on the day

The Red Arrows has been granted its Public Display Authority (PDA) and will be allowed to perform at events starting from this weekend (12th-13th June). The Royal Air Force Aerobatic's Team first UK appearance for the 2010 season will be The Queen's Birthday Flypast in London this Saturday (12 June), followed by a display at the Cosford Air Show in Shropshire on Sunday (13 June).
* Lancaster is currently grounded following a routine check that has found that due to normal wear and tear one of the undercarriage struts needs to be replaced. However, it is hoped that the aircraft will be back in the air, completing planned displays within a week.

Aircraft will be operating from Cosford for most of the morning. At about 10:45 am there will be a display of large model aircraft which will lead into the main display commencing at around midday. The detailed planned flying programme will be published in the Souvenir Programme (£5); available when you arrive on site.
Assuming all of our planned aircraft perform to schedule the display will end at about 17:30 pm
Red Arrows should display approx. 13:35 on Sunday.
Due to the short runway length at RAF Cosford, many aircraft will fly in from nearby RAF Shawbury.
