2010 Airshows
Battle of Britain memorial Flight Lancaster and Hurricane. Margate's Big Event in Kent is usually held in June over two days attracting about 65,000 visitors.

This free event features a full flying display on both days set against the stunning backdrop of Palm Bay.

There will also be Live bands, Top street performers, Children's entertainers, Craft fair, Fairground, and Beer tent, food, & Drink village.

The Red Arrows team will be opening Kent’s leading land and air festival on Saturday 19 June, in addition to their confirmed appearance on Father’s Day on Sunday 20 June, when they will be closing the packed programme of flying.

















Gates Open at 10.00 am on Saturday 19th and at 10.30 am on Sunday

Closing time: 10.00 pm on Saturday 19th and 6.00 pm on Sunday

Flying Programme

Saturday 19th June:
The first event in the UK to host the Red Arrows Display Team who will open Saturday’s programme at 12.15.
Main display begins at 2.05 and closes at 3.30 and includes a specially choreographed tribute to the 70th Anniversary of the Battle of Britain

Sunday 20th June:
Flying display starts at around 3.00 pm with another chance to welcome the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight. The display will be closed by the Red Arrows at 5.00 pm.

Entertainment Programme:
Once again, a packed programme of live music and entertainment stretching over the entire weekend. From 11.00 each morning don’t miss our whacky walkabout acts – and some amazing performances from some of the top street acts in the UK.

Saturday evening’s Concert:
Saturday evening sees the return of the popular evening concert with the Magic of the Beatles kicking off at 7.30 pm from the main stage.

This year's line up includes....

-Thrilling air displays headlined by the Red Arrows with a special tribute to the Battle of Britain Anniversary
- Live bands, some old and some new, catering for all tastes and ages
- Some of the country's top street performers - great for all the family
- Fairground - white knuckle rides as well as gentler rides for children
- Saturday evening free concert and firework finale.
- Beer tent, food and drink village
- Convenient car parks and shuttle bus service
